Since 1882, when the first concrete block was molded from a mixture of cement, gravel, sand, and water- concrete masonry has become the standard building material. Today, other ingredients such as air-entraining agents, coloring pigment, and water repellent are added to concrete block mixture to further increase the versatile uses of concrete block.
